The Web Is A Marketing Technique
In business, the use of the web is often misunderstood. Thoughts seem to
circle around advertising. "My web site will reduce my advertising costs
and bring me lots of new customers."
For the most part, this is not true because you still have to drive business
to your site in much the same way as you drive sales. Real World Marketing
is still the most effective way to drive traffic to your web site. Look
for and identify places for you to put your URL (web site address).
- Storefront signage
- Rental mobile signs
- Delivery Trucks
- In-store point-of-sale displays
- Within flyers, newspaper ads and radio and television
ads
- All stationery (letterhead, business cards etc.)
- Company documents (contracts, fax cover pages, invoices)
- Newsletters
- Contained as a signature on your email messages
- (Telephone) On-hold message or voicemail greeting
- Promotional items (mugs etc.)
In essence, anything you put your company name on should
now have your web site address.
